About Contributions, Withdrawals & Net Contributions

Swivel Sync retrieves account balance values from Charles Schwab (Cash & Cash Investments, Market Value, and Account Value), but it does not retrieve contribution or withdrawal activity. This is why Total Contributions and Total Withdrawals appear as N/A*, and it means these totals will not populate on the Swivel Summary from synced data alone.

Total Net Contributions shows Mapping not available for a different reason: it is a calculated rollup of Contributions and Withdrawals rather than a standalone value. Because it is derived, it cannot be mapped directly to a value from any carrier or institution, regardless of product line.

šŸ” Quick Tip: If you want contributions and withdrawals reflected on your Swivel Summary, you have a few options:

  • Log transactions – Manually record contributions and withdrawals as transactions on the account. Logged transactions roll up to the Snapshot Totals.

  • Create custom values – Set up custom values (for example, "Contributions" and "Withdrawals") to manually enter and store these amounts. Once configured, custom values are available as mapping options on the Swivel Summary. šŸ”— See also Manage Values.

  • Hide these totals – If your organization does not track contributions and withdrawals for this product line, users with Owner or Manager permissions can deselect the Total Contributions, Total Withdrawals, and Total Net Contributions summary totals so they no longer display on the Swivel Summary. šŸ”— See also Configure Display of Product Line Totals.
