đ Note: The mappings shown are provided only as an example of how users can configure their Swivel Summary. Users should consult and defer to their own compliance team for review and approval before implementing.
The following value mapping guideline is based on the following:
a default product line and pre-configured product line summary totals
any carrier/institution, including carriers not currently supported by Swivel Sync
an annuity product offering, using existing register values and/or custom values
This guideline can be applied to any carrier with annuity products. Most annuity products have the following values â
Premium
Withdrawals
Penalty Free Withdrawal (if applicable)
Surrender Value
Account Value
Income Rider Value (if applicable)
Death Benefit
Where a value does not already exist as a register value in Swivel, you can create it as a custom value and map it to the applicable Product Line Total and Snapshot Total. The steps below walk through identifying these values for your product, creating any custom values you need, and mapping them to Swivel Summary.
Step 1: Identify the Values
Using the carrier's portal or a policy statement, locate each of the values above for the product:
Common Name | Also referred to as... |
Premium | Purchase Premium, Premium Paid, Deposits, etc. |
Withdrawals | Total Withdrawals, Withdrawals Taken, etc. |
Penalty Free Withdrawal | Free Withdrawal Amount Available, etc. |
Account Value | Contract Value, Accumulation Value, etc. |
Surrender Value | Cash Surrender Value, etc. |
Income Rider Value | Income Account Value, Income Benefit Base, etc. |
Death Benefit | Death Benefit â may be listed as separate value or equivalent to Account Value or Income Rider Value. |
Step 2: Create Custom Values (as needed)
Where a value is not already configured as a register value, create a custom value for each annuity product offering. Name each custom value consistently so it is easy to identify during mapping.
đ Tip: You can create a custom value to manually track or store additional value information. Once configured, custom values are also available mapping options on Swivel Summary. See also đ Manage Values (from Policy) or Manage Values (from Advanced Setup)
Step 3: Map Values to Swivel Summary
Snapshot Totals Mapping
Snapshot Total | Map Values to Totals |
Total Contributions | Premium |
Total Withdrawals | Withdrawals |
Current Balance | Account Value |
đ Tip: The Snapshot Totals - Total Contributions and Total Withdrawals - map to Rollup Contributions and Rollup Withdrawals by default. See also đ Mapping Transactions to Snapshot Totals.
Product Line Totals Mapping
Product Line Total | Map Values to Totals |
Total Premium | Premium |
Total Withdrawals | Withdrawals |
Total Net Premium | Mapping not available |
Total Penalty Free Withdrawal | Penalty Free Withdrawal (if applicable; otherwise N/A or leave blank) |
Total Surrender Value | Surrender Value |
Total Account Value | Account Value |
Total Benefit & Income Riders | Income Rider Value (if applicable; otherwise N/A or leave blank) |
Total Death Benefit | Death Benefit (or value equivalent - e.g. Account Value) |
đ Quick Tip: Not every carrier website or policy statement displays every value. If a value isn't available, contact the carrier to confirm it or leave the corresponding total unmapped â and have your compliance team review and approve any mapping decisions.
