What are Tags?
Tags are flexible labels you can apply to contacts to organize them beyond standard fields like Category or Status.
π Tip: Think of Tags as custom filters you can create on the fly.
When to Use Tags
Want to group contacts beyond Category/Status and Product details
Need to filter lists for outreach
Are organizing contacts by a specific or unique attribute
When NOT to Use Tags
Lead vs Client β use Contact Category
Status β use Contact Status
DNM β check the Do Not Contact field
Deceased β use the Deceased field
Seminar Attendance(s) β register the contact to the corresponding Event
How to Add Tags
Option 1: From the Contact Record (Recommended)
Open a contact
Click +Tag
Select the desired tag or type the name of the new tag
Click Add
πTip: Users can also manage a contact's tags from here. Simply hover over an assigned tag to either click the tag name to update the tag or select the red "X" on a tag to remove it from the contact.
Option 2: When Creating a Contact
Click +Create Contact
Locate the Tags field (see General Information section)
Select the desired tag or type the name of the new tag
Click Save
Option 3: From the Contacts tab
From the Main Navigation Menu select Contacts
Navigate to the Contact and click the three-dot Action Menu and select Edit
Locate the Tags field (see General Information section)
Select the desired tag or type the name of the new tag
Click Save
Filter Contacts by Tags
Navigate to the Contacts, Clients, or Leads tab > click Advanced Filters (below the search bar to the right)
Use Include Tags and/or Exclude Tags fields.
Click Filter

Bulk Tag Management
Use the Bulk Update Feature to update multiple contacts at once.
β οΈ Always filter your contacts before using this feature. Bulk Updates cannot be undone
Access:
Contacts Contacts β Action Menu β Manage Tags
Options:
Add Tags
Replace Tags
Remove Tags
