What is a source?

A source (or Swivel Sync source) represents each unique agent or advisor login required to access data from the corresponding carrier or institution. Data includes policy numbers and values or account numbers and values.

You must have Owner or Manager user role permissions to manage your Swivel Sync sources and devices.

5. Click Save.

Important Tips when Adding Sources

#1 Create a source using a carrier/institution login credential with access to ALL policies and accounts.

This helps to ensure that all accounts and policies are updated as efficiently as possible. This login can be an agency login, agent/advisor login, and/or delegate login.

#2 Create a source using the agent or advisor login credential.

This helps to ensure that all accounts and policies are updated as efficiently as possible.

#3 Create a source using a carrier/institution login credential you can easily link daily.

Some carriers and institutions may require multi-factor authentication. Confirm you have appropriate access to any multi-factor authentication methods required. This will ensure accounts and policies are updated frequently after a source is linked successfully each day.

#4 Add only one (1) source per carrier or institution (if possible).

This helps to ensure that all accounts and policies are updated as efficiently as possible. There may be a scenario where an agency will require multiple sources because each unique source has access to different group of policies and/or accounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add multiple sources (agent logins) for the same institution?

Yes. Only if each unique source has access to different accounts or policies, then proceed to add a separate source for each unique, agent login. Otherwise, if you have at least one (1) login credential that has full access to all accounts and policies, create only one (1) source.

Can I edit or update a source?

No. Once you create a source, it can't be changed or updated. Refer to Deleting Sources and revisit these steps again to manually create a new one.

Deleting Sources
