Advanced Contact Visibility Options

Restrict contact visibility to specific users or group of users in Swivel.

Assign User Visibility

  1. Navigate to the desired contact record.

  2. Go to the Edit Contact

  3. Scroll to the User Visibility drop down on the contact form > select a user(s) to have contact viewing privileges.

  4. Scroll to the Group Visibility drop down on the contact form > select the group(s) to have contact viewing privileges.

  5. Click Save button.

πŸ” Tip: Users with an Owner role still have access to view all contact records, regardless of viewing permissions.


Creating Groups

🚧 IMPORTANT: Swivel support team will need to enable these features. Please reach out to support@swivelcrm to get started.

Defining Groups in Swivel, helps users restrict viewing privileges for specific users and/or groups within your account.

  1. From the left-side navigation menu, go to the Account tab.

  2. Click Groups.

  3. Click the +New button.

  4. Complete the New Group form.

    1. Name

    2. Description (optional)

    3. Users

  5. Click Save.

  6. To edit a group, click the Action Menu > select Edit.

Once the group(s) have been successfully created, complete the below steps to select a group(s) that have contact viewing privileges.


Assign Contact Visibility by Group Permissions

  1. Navigate to any contact record.

  2. Go to the Action Menu > select Edit.

  3. Go to Group Visibility > select a group(s) to have contact viewing privileges.

  4. Click Save button.
