Snapshot Overview Totals

The Snapshot section includes the following Snapshot Overview Totals:

  • Total Contributions

  • Total Withdrawals

  • Net Contributions

  • Current Balance

⚠️ Unlike Summary Totals, the names (or labels) of the Snapshot Overview Totals are not customizable.

Snapshot Total Calculation Breakdown

To verify the accuracy and transparency in how values are mapped and calculated for each total, click the amount to view an itemized breakdown by product, policy/account #, value and amount.

Mapping Values to Snapshot Totals

Snapshot Totals can represent a calculated rollup of product value-based amounts and/or transaction-based amounts.

Product value-based amount is a number that derives from a policy or account value. See also Values.

Transaction-based amount is a number that derives from a transaction entry managed in the Contributions & Withdrawals section of a policy or account. See also Contributions & Withdrawals.

  1. Navigate to a contact record with policies and/or accounts.

  2. Click the Swivel Summary button located on the top-right corner to launch the Swivel Summary page.

  3. From the Swivel Summary page, find a specific policy or account.

  4. Click Map Values.

  5. Go to the Snapshot Overview Total Mapping section.

  6. Go to Total Contributions > Review the options > Select a value to map.

  7. Go to Total Withdrawals > Review the options > Select a value to map.

  8. Skip Net Contributions. Mapping is not available for this Snapshot Total.

  9. Go to Current Balance > Review the options > Select an option to map.

  10. If applicable, proceed to complete the Product Line Totals Mapping section.

  11. Click Close to exit.

🔍 Tip: Similar to Product Line Totals Mapping, mapping Snapshot Totals are configured by product. ALL policies or accounts associated to the same product will inherit the same Snapshot Totals mappings.

Mapping Transactions to Snapshot Totals

The Snapshot Totals that support transaction-based rollups are Total Contributions and Total Withdrawals only.

Snapshot Overview Totals Mapping are configured as the following by default.

Total Contributions

Rollup Contributions

Total Withdrawals

Rollup Withdrawals

Net Contributions

Mapping not available because it represents a rollup of mapped values and/or calculated transactions

Current Balance

Product-value based amounts only. Transactions not supported.

Rollup Contributions represent a calculated of all transactions with a transaction intent = Transfer or Contribution for that given policy/account. Selecting this option will calculate and sum all contribution-related transaction records stored for that given policy/account.

Rollup Withdrawals are a calculated sum of all transactions with a transaction intent = Withdrawal for that given product instance. Selecting this option will calculate and sum all withdrawal-related records stored for that given policy/account.

⚠️ Important Note re: Transactions

Transaction records must have an associated transaction type with a Transfer, Contribution or Withdrawal intent, to be calculated in Swivel Summary Snapshot Totals. Unspecified transaction type intents are not supported.

For more information on managing transaction types, see Transactions and Transaction Types and Adding New Transaction Types.
