What are the Snapshot Totals?

  • Total Contributions – this is a rollup of transactions/contribution entries

  • Total Withdrawals - this is a rollup of transactions/contribution entries

  • Net Contributions – This will show a net of the above Total Contributions & Total Withdrawals

  • Current Balance – This is a rollup of Account Values per product. These can be aggregated values or manually updated depending on the carrier. You can map which account value for each product to show here by navigating to the cog (settings) icon next to each product and map Current Balance.

Can I control which Summary Totals display?

Yes! Users with Ownwer and/or Manager user roles can select or unselect each Summary Total option. Please note, all Summary Totals are selected by Default. Visit the Configure Display of Summary Totals to learn more!

Can I customize what is shown Swivel Summary?

Yes! Please see the below options:

Add your Logo and Disclosures

  1. From the left-side Main Navigation Menu > click Settings

  2. Select Account > Branding

  3. Upload your logo to the Logo section of the Branding page

  4. Click Edit to enter in your Disclaimers

Can I create new summary totals for the Swivel Summary?

  1. Navigate to Advanced Setup > Product > Summary Totals

  2. Click +New button

  3. Select Disability Insurance product line is selected in the picklist.

  4. Go to Name field and input a summary total name

  5. Go to Position field and specify a number order for display

  6. Repeat the above steps to create more product line summary totals as needed.


Display Product Custom Fields (e.g. Bonus, Rate, RMD, Renewal, etc.)

  1. From the left-side Main Navigation Menu > click Settings

  2. Select Custom Fields > Product Fields

  3. Depending on the use case, select either the Product Line, Product Type, or Product to build the custom field and > click Edit icon

  4. On the Edit Custom Fields slide-out > click +Add New Field button and type in the name of the custom field and select Show on Product Summary

  5. Click Save

Can I have more than one policy print on the page?

Not at this time. The Swivel Summary prints individual products page by page and there is no way to consolidate or change the print view.

Do I have to include the Snapshot view on my client's Swivel Summary?

Swivel gives users with the Owner role the ability to disable the Snapshot section and have it removed from the Summary. Please note, this will remove the Snapshot from all client Swivel Summaries.

To Remove the Swivel Snapshot from the Summary

  1. Open a client's Swivel Summary and > click the Cog Settings Icon (next to the Print View button)

  2. From the Congifure Slide out, uncheck the Snapshot Overview and > click Close

I have my client statements uploaded, but they are not showing on the Swivel Summary?

For Statements to display on the Swivel Summary, they must be a Statement document type.

How do I change a document's Document Type?

Navigate to the desired document and click the three-dot Action Menu and select Change Type.

Can my Clients view their Swivel Summary?

Yes! You can print it out for them, or if they have access to your Client Portal, they can log in and view it there.
