Snapshot for Swivel Summary

What is the Snapshot?

The Snapshot section of the Swivel Summary displays a quick, consolidated overview of all policies and accounts across all product lines (e.g. Annuities, Life Insurance and AUM) for a given client(s).

The Snapshot includes 3 sections:


Configure Snapshot

โš ๏ธ Users must have Owner and/or Manager role permissions to configure the Swivel Summary.


Users can customize the Swivel Summary display to control which items appear in their view. Through the Configure Snapshot, users can enable or disable specific summary components based on their preferences.

๐Ÿ” Tip: Snapshot display options selected also control what is displayed on the Swivel Summary Print View.

Overview Sections

  1. Navigate to a contact record with policies and/or accounts.

  2. Click the Swivel Summary button located on the top-right corner to launch the Swivel Summary page.

  3. Click the Settings cog icon located on the top-right corner.

  4. From the Configure Snapshot slide out, go to Overview Sections.

  5. From the Configure Snapshot slide out and select the checkbox(s) you would like to display.

  6. Click Close to exit.

Contributions & Withdrawals Columns

Use the Contributions/Withdrawals Columns settings to manage the column headers displayed in the Contributions/Withdrawals section of each policy and/or account.

  1. Navigate to a contact record with policies and/or accounts.

  2. Click the Swivel Summary button located on the top-right corner to launch the Swivel Summary page.

  3. Click the Settings cog icon located on the top-right corner.

  4. From the Configure Snapshot slide out, go to Contributions/Withdrawals Columns.

  5. Select the checkbox(s) you would like to enable. Options include:

    1. Date

    2. From

    3. PMT Method

    4. Reference #

    5. Frequency

    6. Type

    7. Amount

  6. Click Close to exit.


Snapshot Totals

The Snapshot section includes the following Snapshot Totals:

  • Total Contributions

  • Total Withdrawals

  • Net Contributions

  • Current Balance

โš ๏ธ Important Note: Unlike Summary Totals, the names (or labels) of the Snapshot Totals are not customizable.

Snapshot Total Calculation Breakdown

To verify the accuracy and transparency in how values are mapped and calculated for each total, click the amount to view an itemized breakdown by product, policy/account #, value and amount.

Mapping Values to Snapshot Totals

Snapshot Totals can represent a calculated rollup of product value-based amounts and/or transaction-based amounts.

Product value-based amount is a number that derives from a policy or account value. See also Values.

Transaction-based amount is a number that derives from a transaction entry managed in the Contributions & Withdrawals section of a policy or account. See also Contributions & Withdrawals.

  1. Navigate to a contact record with policies and/or accounts.

  2. Click the Swivel Summary button located on the top-right corner to launch the Swivel Summary page.

  3. From the Swivel Summary page, find a specific policy or account.

  4. Click Map Values.

  5. Go to the Snapshot Total Mapping section.

  6. Go to Total Contributions > Review the options > Select a value to map.

  7. Go to Total Withdrawals > Review the options > Select a value to map.

  8. Skip Net Contributions. Mapping is not available for this Snapshot Total.

  9. Go to Current Balance > Review the options > Select an option to map. See also Snapshot Overview.

  10. If applicable, proceed to complete the Product Line Totals Mapping section.

  11. Click Close to exit.

๐Ÿ” Tip: Similar to Product Line Totals Mapping, mapping Snapshot Totals are configured by product. ALL policies or accounts associated to the same product will inherit the same Snapshot Totals mappings.

Mapping Transactions to Snapshot Totals

The Snapshot Totals that support transaction-based rollups are Total Contributions and Total Withdrawals only.

Snapshot Overview Totals Mapping are configured as the following by default.

Total Contributions

Rollup Contributions

Total Withdrawals

Rollup Withdrawals

Net Contributions

Mapping not available because it represents a rollup of mapped values and/or calculated transactions

Current Balance

Product-value based amounts only. Transactions not supported.

Rollup Contributions represent a calculated of all transactions with a transaction intent = Transfer or Contribution for that given policy/account. Selecting this option will calculate and sum all contribution-related transaction records stored for that given policy/account.

Rollup Withdrawals are a calculated sum of all transactions with a transaction intent = Withdrawal for that given product instance. Selecting this option will calculate and sum all withdrawal-related records stored for that given policy/account.

โš ๏ธ Important Note re: Transactions

Transaction records must have an associated transaction type with a Transfer, Contribution or Withdrawal intent, to be calculated in Swivel Summary Snapshot Totals. Unspecified transaction type intents are not supported.

Snapshot Overview

The Snapshot Overview provides a rollup value and breakdown of all policies and accounts with a Current Balance mapping configured.

  1. Navigate to a contact record with policies and/or accounts.

  2. Click the Swivel Summary button located on the top-right corner to launch the Swivel Summary page.

  3. Click the Settings cog icon located on the top-right corner.

  4. From the Configure Snapshot slide out > select Snapshot Overview.

  5. Click Close to exit.

  6. Confirm Snapshot Overview section displays on Swivel Summary.

Mapping Values to Snapshot Overview

Snapshot Overview represents a calculated rollup of product value-based amounts.

  1. Navigate to a contact record with policies and/or accounts.

  2. Click the Swivel Summary button located on the top-right corner to launch the Swivel Summary page.

  3. From the Swivel Summary page, find a specific policy or account.

  4. Click Map Values.

  5. Go to the Snapshot Total Mapping section.

  6. Go to Current Balance > Review the options > Select an option to map.

  7. Click Close to exit.

  8. Confirm the Snapshot Overview section displays on Swivel Summary.

โš ๏ธ Important Note: Current Balance mapping MUST be configured for all applicable products to display in the Snapshot Overview section on Swivel Summary.

Estate Overview

The Estate Overview provides rollup value and breakdown of all policies and accounts with a Estate Overview mapping configured.

  1. Navigate to a contact record with policies and/or accounts.

  2. Click the Swivel Summary button located on the top-right corner to launch the Swivel Summary page.

  3. Click the Settings cog icon located on the top-right corner.

  4. From the Configure Snapshot slide out > select Estate Overview.

  5. Click Close to exit.

  6. Confirm Estate Overview section displays on Swivel Summary.

Mapping Values to Estate Overview

Estate Overview represents a calculated rollup of product value-based amounts.

  1. Navigate to a contact record with policies and/or accounts.

  2. Click the Swivel Summary button located on the top-right corner to launch the Swivel Summary page.

  3. From the Swivel Summary page, find a specific policy or account.

  4. Click Map Values.

  5. Go to the Estate Overview Mapping section > Review the options > Select a value to map.

  6. Click Close to exit.

  7. Confirm the Estate Overview section displays on Swivel Summary.

โš ๏ธ Important Note: Estate Overview mapping MUST be configured for all applicable products to display in the Estate Overview section on Swivel Summary.
