Overview
Product values can be mapped to Swivel Summary totals so those values are included in Swivel Summary calculations. Contributions & Withdrawals transactions can also be rolled up to populate certain Swivel Summary totals.
When a product value is not mapped to a Swivel Summary total, that value is not included in the calculation for that total and may result in a blank or incomplete total.
đ Tip: Product values are mapped to Swivel Summary totals once per product. After a product's values are mapped, the same mapping configuration applies to all instances of that product attached to contacts in your account.
What Can Populate Swivel Summary Totals?
Swivel Summary totals can be populated from two sources:
Product values â Values stored on a policy or account, such as Current Value or Cash Value.
Contributions & Withdrawals transactions â Transaction records entered in the Contributions & Withdrawals section of a policy or account.
Where Can I Map Product Values?
You can access product value mapping from several locations:
Where | When to Use It |
Contact's Swivel Summary | Map values for a product while viewing a client's Swivel Summary. |
Mapped Products Report | Find and manage product-value mappings across the products your organization offers. |
Settings > Advanced Setup > Products | Configure mappings for a specific product. |
Select the product values you want to map, then assign them to the appropriate Swivel Summary totals. The available mapping options depend on the product and totals being configured.

Mapping Product Values to Snapshot Totals
Snapshot Totals provide a point-in-time view of policy or account values. For more information, see Snapshot for Swivel Summary.
You can map product values to:
Total Contributions

Mapping Total Contributions & Total Withdrawals
For Total Contributions and Total Withdrawals, you can choose one of two methods:
Method | How It Works |
Map a product value | Select a product value to populate the Snapshot Total. |
Roll up transactions | Calculate the Snapshot Total from Contributions & Withdrawals transactions recorded in Swivel. |
If you choose to roll up transactions:
Total Contributions includes all transactions whose transaction type has an intent of Transfer or Contribution.
Total Withdrawals includes all transaction whose transaction type has an intent of Withdrawal.
đ Note: Transaction-based rollups include only transactions whose transaction type has an intent of Transfer, Contribution, or Withdrawal. Transactions with unspecified or unsupported intents are not included in Snapshot Totals. For more information on managing transaction types, see Transactions and Transaction Types and Adding New Transaction Types.
Net Contributions
Net Contributions is calculated automatically from Total Contributions and Total Withdrawals. It cannot be mapped directly.
