Mapped Products Report

Written by Celeste Olson

Overview

The Mapped Products Report shows whether products have their values mapped to Swivel Summary totals.

Product values must be mapped to Swivel Summary totals in order for those values to be included in Swivel Summary calculations. The report helps administrators review the mapping status of products, identify missing mappings, and update mappings directly from the report when changes are needed.

The report also identifies product lines that need Swivel Summary totals configured before mapping can be completed.

How Product Mapping Works

Products contain individual values that contribute to Swivel Summary data. Each product value must be mapped to the appropriate Swivel Summary total so that Swivel Summary knows where to include that value.

For examples of how product values are mapped to Swivel Summary totals, see Swivel Summary Mapping Examples.

If a product value is not mapped, it will not be included in Swivel Summary calculations, which may result in blank or incomplete totals.

Access the Mapped Products Report

To open the Mapped Products Report:

  1. Go to Reports in the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Select Mapped Products Report.

Reviewing Product Details

Each product row in the report includes:

  • Institution — The name of the carrier or institution associated with the product.

  • Product — The name of the product.

  • Product Count — The number of instances of this product attached to contacts in the account.

  • Values mapped — Shows the number of product values that have been mapped compared to the total number of product values (for example, 6/7).

  • Current Value — Indicates whether a product value has been mapped to Current Balance on the Swivel Summary.

  • Status — Shows the product’s mapping status:

    • Mapped

    • Partially Mapped

    • Unmapped

    • Setup Needed

  • Action — Provides a link to update the product:

    • Map — Opens the mapping editor for products that are ready to be mapped.

    • Set Up — Opens the setup process for product lines that need Swivel Summary totals configured.

Understanding Product Mapping Status

The Mapped Products Report shows the mapping status for each product. Each status indicates whether product values are connected to Swivel Summary totals.

  • Mapped — All product values have been mapped to configured Swivel Summary totals.

  • Partially Mapped — Some product values have been mapped to Swivel Summary totals, but one or more product values are still missing mappings.

  • Unmapped — The product has configured Swivel Summary totals available for mapping, but none of the product values have been mapped.

  • Setup Needed — No Swivel Summary totals have been configured for the product line. Configure Swivel Summary totals before product values can be mapped.

Filtering the Report

Use the report filters to quickly find products based on their mapping status or configuration.

You can filter products by:

  • Status — Select one mapping status:

    • Mapped

    • Partially Mapped

    • Unmapped

    • Setup Needed

  • Missing Value — Select specific product values to find products where those values have not been mapped.

  • Current Value — Filter by whether the Current Balance snapshot total is mapped or unmapped. You can select one or both options.

  • Show — Choose which products to include in the report:

    • Active products

    • Archived products

    • Both active and archived products

You can also use the status counters at the top of the report to quickly view products by mapping status.

Updating Product Mappings

You can update product mappings directly from the Mapped Products Report.

To update a product’s mappings:

  1. Locate the product in the report.

  2. Select Map.

  3. Assign product values to the appropriate Swivel Summary totals.

  4. Save your changes.

If a product shows Setup Needed, select Set Up to configure Swivel Summary totals for that product line before mapping product values.

Exporting the Report

You can export the Mapped Products Report to a CSV file.

The exported file reflects the products, filters, and information currently displayed in the report.
