Before You Start
Make sure that:
Your company domain has been verified in Swivel.
You have a saved contact list ready to email.
If your domain isn't verified yet, you won't see your company address as a sender option.
Step 1: Confirm your Domain is Verified
Go to Settings > Email Accounts.
Check that your company domain shows a Verified status.
If it isn't verified, complete the company email sender setup before continuing.
Step 2: Open the List You Want to Email
Go to Contacts > View Lists.
Click on the saved list you want to email.
This opens the list view where you can start creating your email.
Step 3: Start a New Email
Click Email.
This opens the email composer.
Step 4: Select Your Company Sender
From the Account dropdown, choose your company domain (Sendgrid) as the sender.
This ensures the email is sent from your verified company address rather than a personal email.
Step 5: Enter the Sender Display Name
In the Name field, type the name you want recipients to see in their inbox (e.g., Acme Team or Jane Smith).
This is the name that appears next to the sender email address.
Step 6: Enter the Sender Email Address
In the Address field, type the first part of the email address you want to use as the sender (e.g., service or info). Swivel will automatically add your verified domain (e.g., @acmesolutions.com).
Important: If you want to receive replies to this email, the full email address must exist and be monitored. If the address does not exist, replies cannot be delivered.
Tip: If you don't want to create a new inbox, include a valid contact email in the body of the email (e.g., "To make an appointment, please email Jane Smith directly at [email protected].").
When Should I Use a Company Email vs. a Personal Email?
Use your personal Swivel email for 1:1 emails or small, highly personalized lists.
Use your company email sender for larger broadcast emails sent from Swivel.
This helps protect deliverability and keeps bulk emails from affecting personal inbox reputation.
Troubleshooting Tips
If you don’t see your company sender or something isn't working as expected:
Confirm your domain shows as Verified in Settings > Email Accounts.
Allow time for recent verification changes.
Make sure the sender email address you enter is valid if you want to receive replies.
If problems persist, contact your IT administrator or Swivel support for help.
