Overview

A Client Portal gives your clients one place to see their financial picture. It can bring together financial information already in Swivel with financial accounts your clients add themselves.

Clients can use a Client Portal to:

  • See products you service — such as annuities, investment accounts, and life insurance.

  • See other financial holdings you've recorded in Swivel — including holdings entered in the Financials drawer.

  • Add accounts they have with other financial institutions — such as bank, investment, or credit card accounts.

  • Choose which advisory firms can see the accounts they add.

You control what information and features are available in each Client Portal. Your clients control the accounts they add and which advisory firms they share those accounts with.

How Client Portals Work

A Client Portal can include information for one contact or multiple contacts in a Household.

When you create a Portal, you select which household members' information to include. You then send the invitation to one contact. That contact becomes the Owner of the Portal.

If another household member wants to access the Portal, the Owner must invite them to join. Each invited member creates their own login to access the Portal.

A contact can belong to more than one Client Portal. Each Portal is separate, so the information and access available to a contact can differ from one Portal to another.

What You Control

For each Client Portal, you control:

  • The information your firm shares

  • Which household members' information is included

  • Whether clients can access the Portal

What Your Client Controls

Your client can:

  • Add their own financial accounts to a Client Portal

  • Manage accounts they add

  • Choose which advisory firms can see the accounts they add
