Types of Workflows: Manual vs. Automated Workflows
Manual workflows
Manual Workflows are identified as workflows without an automation triggered enabled. This type of workflow is ideal when a workflow may have a series of repeatable steps, but activating this workflow occurs on an as-needed basis (ex. Account Service Request).
Automated Workflows
Automated Workflows allow you to set automation triggers to automatically run a given workflow activated by a specific action. Different workflow types come with different automation triggers (see below). Automated workflows help you act on new opportunities, opening a new application, processing service requests, are some examples.

Contact Type | Create Contact for Contact Type |
Pipelines & Sales Stage | Create an Opportunity Advance the Sales Stage |
