Channel Types

What are Channel Types?

Channel Types refer to the different avenues to connect with your target audience. These channels can include things like email newsletters, marketing emails, and even text messages.

For example, your account is pre-configured with the following channel types:

  • Annual Review Email

  • Email

  • Text


Adding Channel Types

  1. From the left-side main menu, click the Settings tab > Advanced Setup

  2. Go to Marketing & Sales section > click Channel Types

  3. From the Channel Types page > click New button

  4. Complete the New Channel Type form

    1. Name

    2. Description optional

    3. Delivery Style

      1. Email

      2. Direct Mail*

      3. Text Message

    4. Click Save

Note: Direct Mail does not initiate a direct mail mailing. This is a way of importing in direct mail contacts received from outside source.


Editing Existing Channel Types

  1. Select the Chanel Types section

  2. Go the Action Menu > select Edit for the chanel type you wish to edit.

  3. Complete the Edit Channel Type form

    1. Name

    2. Description Optional

    3. Delivery Style

      1. Email

      2. Direct Mail*

      3. Text Message

    4. Click Save

πŸ” Tip: Campaign Types can also have configured workflows to each Campaign Type. To configure a workflow, simply click into the respective appointment type and click +Add in the workflow template window. Learn more at Workflows.


Merge Channel Types

  1. From the left-side main menu, click the Settings tab > Advanced Setup

  2. Select the Marketing & Sales section > click Channel Types

  3. From the Channel Types page > click

  4. Complete the Merge Lead Sources form

    1. Merge From

    2. Merge To

    3. Remove original Channel Type after merge recommended

    4. Click Merge.

πŸ›‘ IMPORTANT! Please use the Merge feature with extreme caution. Objects merged cannot be un-merged.
