An email personalization token is used to automatically insert specific information about the recipient or send when the email is sent. These tokens help make the email feel more personal and relevant to the individual recipient.

For example, if you have a token like {{contact_first_name}} in your email template, when the email is sent, it could be replaced with "John" for one recipient and "Jane" for another, based on their data in Swivel.
