Text Registration Process

🚨 Warning: Make sure you have the mandatory pre-requisites including EIN number and website or social media pages. You must provide this information as part of the registration process. For more information, please review the Texting Campaign Pre-Requisites & Best Practices article.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. From the main navigation menu < click Settings and select Manage Texting

  2. On the Texting page < click +Add Phone Number button

  3. Review the information and instructions provided on the New Texting Account form

  4. Once you have reviewed the information < click Next

  5. Complete your Business Profile:

    1. Legal Business Name: Using an incorrect business name such as DBA or a trade name of the company instead of the official legally registered name will result in rejection. The Legal Name must not be abbreviated in any way and must appear exactly as it is filed with the IRS.

    2. Industry

    3. Business Type options include: Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, Limited Liability Corporation, Co Operative, Non Profit Corporation, Corporation.

    4. Company Type options include: Private, Public, Non Profit, Government

    5. EIN

    6. Website

    7. Street

    8. Suite/Apartment/Box

    9. City

    10. State

    11. Zipcode

  6. Click Next

  7. Complete your Personal Profile

    1. First Name

    2. Last Name

    3. Job Title

    4. Job Position

    5. Email

    6. Phone Number

  8. Click Next

  9. Complete your Campaign Registration

    1. How are you going to use texting?

    2. Message Sample 1

    3. Message Sample 2

    4. How do end-users consent to receive messages?

  10. Click Next

  11. Complete the Name field

  12. Choose your Phone Number from the drop-down.

  13. Click Confirm & Pay

🚨 Warning! You only have 4 attempts to register! Due to federal regulations, A2P 10DLC Registration is extremely thorough and specific. Please ensure to follow all directions carefully and review the Swivel Help Center before beginning the Text Registration Process.


Text Registration Approval Process

🚧 Important: Please allow up to 10 business days for the Text Registration Approval process.

Once you have submitted your Text and Campaign Registration, you will be able to track the approval process from the Texting Accounts page by clicking you company name under the Text Message Accounts tile to access the A2P 10DLC Registration tile.

The registration process is broken out into three phases:

  1. Customer Profile

  2. Brand

  3. Campaign

The badges will change as the status of each phase is updated. Statuses include:

  • Draft: Not Submitted

  • Pending: Submitted and awaiting review

  • In-Review: Moved to a manual review process

  • Approved: Registration has been approved

  • Denied: Registration has been denied. Must start registration process all over again (including an additional registration fee).

  • Failed: Registration had errors that must be corrected. Must start registration process all over again (including an additional registration fee).

Once your Text Registration is approved, the badge next to your company name will change from Disabled to Enabled.

Once it has been moved to Enabled, you're ready to begin texting!
