Adding New Values
Swivel allows you to add new Values directly from the Product section on a contact page, or through the Advanced Setup section.
๐ Tip: When creating and labeling values, use the same or similar policy or account value names you typically find on a given institution policy or account statement.
Step-by-Step Instructions: Adding New Values via Product on Contact page
โ ๏ธ Manage Values feature is only enabled for users with Owner and/or Manager user role permissions.
From a Contact page, navigate to the Products section and > click the three-dot Action Menu and select Manage Values.
Complete the Manage Values slide out form.
Click Save.
Step-by-Step Instructions: Adding New Values via Advanced Setup
From the left-side Navigation Menu select Settings > click Advanced Setup.
Select the Product tab > click Products
Click into desired product.
Navigate to the Associated Values tile and > click Manage Values button
Complete the Manage Values form.
Click Save.
๐ Tip: Values are managed at the individual product level allowing you to customize your products as you need. For example, life insurance carriers may have unique rider or benefit values for their product offerings so the Value is specific to a unique product.
Updating Values for Existing Product
Navigate to the desired Contact and, if necessary, create the desired Product.
From the Product > click the Update Values button then > click +New Entry.
Complete the New Entry form.
Click Save
FAQ: Why don't I see the 'Update Values' button for my policy or account?
If you donโt see the Update Values button on a policy or account, it usually means one of the following:
(1) Values haven't been set up yet
The Update Values button only appears after values have been created for that product.
You can set up values by going to Manage Values, or
Ask a user with Owner or Manager access to set them up for you
Once values are in place, the Update Values button will show automatically.
(2) The policy or account hasnโt synced or updated yet (Swivel Sync only)
For policies and accounts supported by Swivel Sync, values will appear after at least one (1) policy or account for the product has successfully synced and Update Values button will show automatically.
