While most differences are small and easy to adjust to, there are a few key distinctions between Redtail and Swivel to be aware of after completing your import.
Contacts
Contact details such as contact information (i.e. emails, phone number, address, Client Since, Contact Created date, etc.) and personal information will display on the Contact's page. Unlike Redtail, Swivel displays these information in different tiles organized by Contact Card, Contact Details, and General Information.
Servicing Advisor in Redtail will be mapped to the Servicing Agent in Swivel. At this time, Swivel does not have a Writing Advisor field. Instead, Swivel uses an Agent of Record for each product. If you would like to create a Writing Advisor FIeld, please visit our Custom Fields article to learn more.
Redtail's contact Status will map to Swivel's Contact Category, and Redtail's contact Category will map to Swivel's Contact Status.

The contact's Source in Redtail will map to Swivel's contact Lead Source. Unfortunately, because Redtail's Referred by is a free text field, this information will not be supported in the import and will need to be manually link using Swivel's View Associations feature.
Redtail Households will migrate over to Swivel, and be visible by navigating to the View Associations button on the Contact's record.
Please note: The import does not include address(es) for the Spouse, only for the contact considered "head of household" in Redtail.
Additional Redtail Memberships will not migrate over.
Visibility restrictions will not import into Swivel. Please visit our How do I set contact visibility restrictions article to learn more.
Notes
Any notes that have been created on a contact record will map to the Notes panel on the right hand side of the contact page; and, it will include a Redtail tag identifying it was part of the Redtail Import and a tag to identify the type of note (i.e. Customer Support, Policy Support, etc.)
Please note: Notes will display "Redtail User" as the author.

Products
One difference between Redtail and Swivel is the naming conventions for your contact's policies and accounts. Swivel refers to all policies and accounts as Products. Swivel will bring over any Redtail Account information and map it to the contact's Products section.
Please note: During the import process, you will have to option to "Ignore Product Information" or "Import All."
Seminars & Seminar Attendance
Migrated seminars map to seminar events in Swivel
Migrated seminar attendances will default to Pending event registration statuses in Swivel
Redtail Activities
Migrated activities/activity types map to appointments/appointment types in Swivel.
Migrated activities are viewable from the respective contact record.
Migrated activities will not be viewable on the Swivel Calendar experience.
FAQs
Will the Social Security Numbers be formatted with dashes (i.e. 123-45-6789)?
At this time, Swivel does not format SSN numbers. They will import as 123456789, but you are able to manually update on the contact record as needed.
Will the phone number be formatted with dashes (i.e. 123-555-0000)?
Yes! When you migrate phone numbers from Redtail to Swivel it will import with the dashes.
