The Swivel-Intulse integration connects your phone system directly to your Swivel CRM, making it easier to manage and track communication

Integration Features

  • Click-to-Call:  Place phone calls from within Swivel using click-to-call buttons on any phone number, saving time and improving call efficiency.

  • Click-to-Text:  Send texts from within Swivel using click-to-text buttons on any phone number.

  • View Call History:  Log calls with detailed notes, including a full call recording file with one click. You can then view a log of all calls made or received by your staff. This log includes the date, time, duration and call recording file (optional) of every call.

  • Contacts Activities Access:  Quickly add any call notes to a person during the call and they will show up in the Swivel contact record's call log.

  • Pop-up Alerts with Profiles:  Incoming calls trigger a toast notification to open the caller’s profile in Swivel BEFORE you answer the call! This helps you quickly learn about the latest details of the caller so that you can serve them better and more efficiently.

  • Call Anyone from Anywhere:  Whether on desktop or mobile, the Intulse app allows users to search Swivel contacts and call or text them.

  • Unrecognized & New Numbers:  Intulse now allows the creation of new contacts, or the addition of new phone numbers to existing contacts through the Swivel integration.

Connecting Swivel to Intulse

If you would like the Swivel integration enabled for your account, please contact Intulse Support directly and they will be happy to get you connected.

Once the Swivel Integration has been added to your account, please follow the directions below to get connected:

  1. Click More, then Integrations.

  2. Select Swivel from the list.

  3. Click the button to Authorize Intulse.

Please note: In order to fully benefit from this integration, both Swivel and the Intulse App should be open and running in the background of your device.


What's the Difference Between Intulse Texting and Swivel Texting?

Intulse Texting and Swivel Texting are separate services that operate independently from one another.

If you use Intulse Texting, text conversations will be displayed within Swivel for visibility and recordkeeping purposes. However, those messages remain managed by Intulse.

Important Considerations:

  • You can view Intulse text messages in Swivel.

  • You cannot send or reply to Intulse text messages from within Swivel.

  • All Intulse text message responses must be sent through the Intulse application.

Additionally, Intulse phone numbers cannot be used with Swivel texting features or automations. This includes: automated text messages such as appointment reminders, workflow-generated texts, birthday messages, and other Swivel text automations.

If you would like to send text messages directly from Swivel or leverage Swivel's texting automations, you will need to use a Swivel texting number that has been registered and approved through the Text Campaign Registry (TCR).


FAQs-Swivel Integration with Intulse

Can Swivel set up the Intulse Integration?

Swivel cannot setup the Intulse integration on your behalf. Please contact Intulse Support directly.

Does the Swivel Integration offer Automatic Call Logging?

Yes! Each call log includes:

  • Date, start time, and duration

  • Call type (inbound or outbound)

  • Whether or not call was completed

  • Linked call recording (if recorded)

  • You can also add notes or commentary directly to the call log.

Can I use Click-to-Call and my Intulse texting?

Yes! Search Swivel contacts in the Intulse App to start a call instantly. With the Intulse Companion App installed, click any phone number in Swivel to start a call or text message.

To experience the integration between Intulse and Swivel, you will need to use the Intulse App.

Do I have to have the Intulse App?

Do my previous recordings from Intulse before I had Swivel sync to the contacts in Swivel.

No. Once you connect Intulse to Swivel, it will only bring call recordings from that point forward.

Why are calls logging for some users but not others?

The Intulse Integration must be authorized individually by each user. It does not automatically apply to all users on the account once the initial setup is complete.

If calls are logging correctly for some team members but not others, have the affected user complete the following steps from within their own Intulse app:

  1. Open the Intulse App

  2. Click More, then Integrations

  3. Select Swivel from the list

  4. Click Authorize Intulse

📌 Note: Both Swivel and the Intulse app must be open and running in the background ont eh user's device for calls to log correctly.

If the user has completed these steps and calls are still not logging, please contact Intulse Support to confirm that their extension was included when the integration was originally enabled for the account.


Troubleshooting Intulse Integration

Why are my texts not logging in the contact's communication log?

If text messages are not logging into Swivel, first verify the Swivel integration settings within Intulse.

At the bottom of the integration settings page, there is a toggle that controls whether text messages are logged into Swivel (see screenshot below).

To refresh the connection:

  1. Toggle the setting OFF

  2. Toggle the setting back ON

  3. Send a test text message

After sending the test message, verify whether the text appears in the Swivel communication log.
