Overview
The Swivel-Ring Central integration connects your phone system directly to your Swivel CRM account, making it easier to manage and track communications.
Connecting Ring Central to Swivel
Only users with Owner role permission to setup Ring Central phone integrations for their user.
From the left side navigation, select Settings
Select Texting and Phones
Under the Phone Integrations section, select Enable Integration for Ring Central
This will open a Ring Central pop up on your browser. Select Sign In to access your Ring Central account. The pop up may be minimized in the corner of your browser, you can expand by clicking on the minimized bar.
Once you have signed in, you will be prompted to Authorize Permission from Ring Central
Next, you will choose your phone number for the Digital Line to connect to Swivel. Select I Accept.
Your Ring Central setup is now complete and your dial pad will now appear in the Ring Central Widget to begin making calls or to receive calls.
Integration Features
Pop-up Alerts for Incoming Calls: Incoming calls trigger the Ring Central widget to open as well as automatically open the Contact View Page to view the caller’s profile in Swivel. From here you can answer, ignore, or forward their call.
Click-to-Call: Place phone calls from within Swivel using click-to-call buttons on any phone number, saving time and improving call efficiency.
View Call Log History: Log calls with detailed notes, including a full call recording file with one click. You can then view a log of all calls made or received by your staff. This log includes the date, time, duration and call recording file (optional) of every call.
Send Ring Central Text Messages - From the Ring Central pop up widget users can create text messages (if enabled on their phone number). However, these do not get logged directly to the contact communication log like text messages sent directly from Swivel.
Save Call Recordings to Swivel - if a phone call has been recorded through Ring Central, users can select "Recordings" in the Ring Central Widget and next to the saved recording they can log the recording to Swivel
FAQ
Once logging into the Ring Central widget, I got a notification stating "Your extension cannot make outbound calls with this browser currently and to contact my account representative for an upgrade" - what does this mean?
This means you do not actually have a Ring Central phone number and just use an extension. You cannot use the Ring Central to Swivel integration without a valid phone number.
