Phone Settings

Account administrators can manage call recording storage from the Phone Settings page, located under Communication.

This setting gives you control over whether Swivel stores call recordings from supported phone integrations.

Access Phone Settings

  1. Click Settings

  2. Select Communication

  3. Click Phone Settings

  4. Toggle Save Call Recordings on or off based on your preference

This setting applies to the following integrations:

Default Behavior

The Save Call Recordings setting is enabled by default.

When enabled:

  • Call recordings from supported phone integrations are automatically saved in Swivel

  • Recordings are available within the associated contact records

When Disabled

When Save Call Recordings is turned off:

  • Swivel will no longer store new call recordings from RingCentral or Intulse

  • Calls will still be logged, including:

    • Contact association

    • Call duration

    • Call direction

Only audio recording storage is affected. All call activity tracking remains unchanged.

What Is Not Affected

Turning off call recording storage does not impact:

  • Existing call recordings already stored in Swivel

  • Manually uploaded recordings added to contact records

  • Call logs, including duration, direction, and contact details
