Click one button to capture a conversation and get an AI-generated note automatically

The AI Notetaker allows you to generate structured, summarized notes automatically.

Where to Find It

AI Notetaker is available directly within the Notes panel on any records where notes are supported, including:

  • Contacts

  • Products

  • Opportunities

  • Appointments

AI Notetaker replaced the legacy Recordings feature.

How to Use the AI Notetaker

  1. Navigate to the record where you'd like to enter a note(s)

  2. Click the AI Notetaker button in the Notes panel

  3. Click Start AI Notetaker

  4. Click Stop & Save

A placeholder note will appear "AI Notetaker is preparing your note..." and once complete, the AI-Generated summary will appear, and you'll receive an email notification when your note is ready.

šŸ” Tip: You’ll see a floating widget if you navigate away from the page—recording continues. Just be sure to click Stop & Save at the end.

How to use AI Notetaker with an AI Template

  1. Navigate to the record where you'd like to enter a note(s)

  2. Click the AI Notetaker button in the Notes panel

  3. Select the desired AI Template from the AI Template dropdown

  4. Click Start AI Notetaker

  5. Click Stop & Save

How to change the AI Template

  1. Click the dropdown next to the AI Notetaker button

  2. From the AI Template drop-down, select the desired template

šŸ” Tip: You can select an AI Template before or after generating a note. Reapply a different template at any time by selected the desired template and clicking Resummarize.

AI-Generated Notes

  • AI notes will have a purple AI icon

  • Users can resummarize any AI note by clicking the three-dot Action Menu and selecting Resummarize

Troubleshooting the AI Notetaker

"My note didn't save"

Check:

  • Your browser has microphone permissions enabled

  • You clicked Stop & Save

  • You saw the Uploading… state
