Your First-Day Priorities
Complete these four priorities before the end of your first day. Don't worry about mastering every feature. Focus on becoming comfortable with the work you'll perform every day.
Priority 1: Get Comfortable Navigating Swivel
Why this matters
Before you can work efficiently, you need to know where things are. Spending just a few minutes exploring the navigation will make the rest of your onboarding much easier.
By the end of this priority, you should be able to:

Know where to go for Contacts, Calendar, and Opportunities

Search for yourself or one of your clients.
Open the contact record.
Take a few minutes to explore what's available, including:
Contact information
Notes
Products
Appointments
Opportunities
Don't worry if everything isn't perfect yet. Some cleanup is a normal part of transitioning to a new CRM and can be completed over time as you begin working in Swivel.

What if I can't find something?

Why don’t I see my products or accounts?
If your legacy CRM included your policies or accounts, you should see this information; but, you may need to do some data cleanup or import your book of business into Swivel. Depending on your needs, you can complete the import yourself or work with our Professional Services team for a paid product import.
My data is in Swivel, but it needs cleanup. What should I do?
Some cleanup is expected after moving from another CRM because every system organizes data differently.
Start by identifying the areas that need attention, such as duplicate contacts, inconsistent categories, or product information. You can continue working in Swivel while making incremental improvements over time.

Swivel Sync requires additional setup and account linking before it can begin updating product information.
Plug in your Swivel Sync device as soon as you receive it and leave it powered on. Your onboarding team will guide your System Admin through the remaining steps when your organization is ready.

Your onboarding includes guidance from your assigned onboarding specialist, and we also offer live training webinars covering common workflows and best practices.
