What are Tags?
Tags are labels or keywords that you can assign to your contacts or other records with Swivel to categorize and organize them based on specific criteria. They provide a flexible way to classify data beyond the predefined or native fields available.
Adding Tags
Adding Tags Directly from the Contact Show Page (Recommended)
Click the +Tag button next the Contact Category and Status beneath the Contact name.
To add an existing tag, select the desired tag from the drop down menu.
To create and add a net new tag, simply type the name of your new tag. Once you have completed typing, hit Enter or the Return Key on your keyboard.
Click the Add button or select Enter on your keyboard again.
πTip: Users can also manage a contact's tags from here. Simply hover over an assigned tag to either click the tag name to update the tag or select the red "X" on a tag to remove it from the contact.
Adding Tags When Creating a New Contact
From the Main Navigation Menu select Contacts (or Leads or Clients).
Click the +Create Contact button and select the desired Contact Type.
Complete the Create Contact slide-out form.
In the General Information section, click the Tags field
To add an existing tag, select the desired tag.
To create and add a net new tag, < click into the field and type the name of the tag. Once you have completed typing, hit Enter or the Return Key on your keyboard.
Once you have completed the Create Contact slide-out form> click the Save button.
Adding Tags to Contacts from the Contacts Tab
From the Main Navigation Menu select Contacts (or Leads or Clients).
Click the Action Menu to the right of the desired Contact's Status Badge and select Edit from the drop-down.
In the General Information section, click the Tags field
To add an existing tag, select the desired tag.
To create and add a net new tag, < click into the field and type the name of the tag. Once you have completed typing, hit Enter or the Return Key on your keyboard.
Once you have added the desired Tags to the Contact, > click the Save button.
Manage Tags Feature
Use the Manage Tags feature to quickly and easily Add Tags, Replace Tags, and/or Remove Tags.
To Access Manage Tags
π§ Warning: Since Manage Tags allows to you complete bulk actions, we recommend first filtering the contacts using the Advanced Filters before navigating to the Manage Tags window.
Navigate to the Contacts, Clients, or Leads tab > click the Action Menu and select Manage Tags.
From the Manage Tags pop-up window, select from the following options:
Add Tags this will add tags to the contacts in the filtered contact list
Replace Tags this will replace any selected tag(s) with the selected tag in the replace with field.
Remove Tags this will remove and delete the tag(s) selected.
Enter the desired tag(s)
Click Submit

Filter by Tags
Navigate to the Contacts, Clients, or Leads tab > click Advanced Filters (below the search bar to the right)
Complete the Filter pop-up being sure to complete the Include Tags and/or Exclude Tags fields.
When complete, click Filter
