Recordings in Swivel

📌 Note: The Recordings feature in Swivel allows you to record and store audio directly inside a contact’s profile. This makes it easy to capture voice notes, document client conversations, and save important audio for future reference.

Where to Find Recordings

  1. Open any Contact

  2. Navigate to the Recordings tab at the top of the right panel
    (next to Notes, Tasks, and Workflows)

Here you can:

  • Start a new recording

  • Play existing recordings

  • Expand long recordings

How to Start a New Recording

  1. Go to the Recordings tab

  2. Click Start new recording

  3. Allow your browser to access the microphone

  4. Record your message

  5. Click Stop when finished

  6. Save the recording

Your new recording will appear immediately with a timestamp.

How to Play a Recording

  1. Open the Recordings tab

  2. Click the Play button on the entry

  3. Adjust playback using:

    • Pause

    • Volume

    • Scrubbing bar

Recording Options (Gear Menu)

Click the ⚙️ gear icon on any recording to access additional actions:

Transcribe

Creates a text transcript of the audio recording.

AI Summary

Generates an AI-powered summary of the recording’s content.

Delete

Removes the recording.
​Note: delete permissions may vary by user role.

Once deleted, it is gone.

Recording Troubleshooting

Recording won’t start

  • Microphone permission is blocked

  • Browser doesn’t support audio capture

  • Another program is using your microphone

Recording won’t save

  • Connection interruption

  • Browser tab refreshed before saving

Recording won’t play

  • Temporary browser issue

  • Device audio issue

  • Try refreshing or switching browsers
