Swivel has two options for adding Contact notes.

  1. Create a Personal Note on the contact record.

  2. Add a Note to the contact record.

What is the difference between a personal note and a note?

A Personal Note is a great place to store information on your contacts such as their interests, hobbies, and other personal details that you would like displayed when viewing their contact page.

A Note allows you to log information about your contact as well as display a date, timestamp, and user who created the note. This is great for logging contact interactions such as phone calls and other information.

Add a Personal Note

  1. Navigate to the desired contact record >click +Add personal note

2. Type the information you wish to add > click the Save button.

Add a Note

  1. Navigate to the desired contact record.

  2. Click the Notes tab on the right hand side of the contact page.

  3. Click +Add note

  4. Type the information you wish to add > click the Save button.

How do I add a tag to a note?

To add a Tag to a note, select the Edit option on the note you wish to tag, add the tag in the Tags field.

Can I add a comment to a note?

Yes! Comments can be made on Notes from the right side notes panel by selecting Comment. If comments exist associated to a note, the number of comments will display (for example 1 Comment). Like notes, these will be time stamped, editable, deletable, and will show the user who created the comment. Unlike notes, these do not show face up on the notes panel, but are tucked away within a note.

Can I pin a note?

Yes, to pin a note navigate to the note you wish to pin and click the small pushpin. This will keep the note at the top of the notes panel.

What do the icons beside the note stand for?

Notes Symbols:

  • Umbrella - Product note

  • Piggy Bank - Transaction note

  • Trophy - Opportunity note

  • House - Contact note
