Swivel Assistant Settings for Owners and Managers

What account Owners and Managers set up for the Swivel Assistant and connected AI apps: nothing to turn on, roles and access codes, and AI credits under Settings > Billing.

The Swivel Assistant is on for every Swivel account. Every user in your account can open it from the sparkles button in the bottom-right corner. There is no setting to turn it on or off.

The same is true for connecting an AI app: any user can connect one with their own Swivel sign-in. See Connect Your Own AI to Swivel (MCP).

What you control is what each person may do and how many AI credits your account has.

Who can do this: Account Owners. Only Owners create and edit access codes.

The assistant and connected AI apps follow each person’s role and access code. They never allow more than the person’s screens allow.

  • Roles: set a user’s role (Owner, Manager or Staff) to control which screens and changes they have. See Swivel User Roles and Permissions.
  • Access codes: give users access codes to narrow the products, transactions, workflows and tasks they see. The assistant and connected apps are narrowed the same way. See Access Codes.
  • Removing a user: a user who no longer has access to your account cannot use the assistant in it. See Managing User Access.

Who can do this: Account Owners.

The Swivel Assistant uses your account’s AI credits for work in your Swivel data. Help questions are free. See AI Credits and the Swivel Assistant.

Can I see which AI apps my users have connected?

Section titled “Can I see which AI apps my users have connected?”

No. Swivel does not have a screen that lists connected AI apps. Changes a connected app makes are saved under the name of the user who connected it.

Can I limit a connected AI app to fewer actions than the user has?

Section titled “Can I limit a connected AI app to fewer actions than the user has?”

No. A connection gets all of the user’s permissions. To limit it, change the user’s role or access code.

Yes, on reseller pages, for help questions, tickets and reaching the team. It does not make changes there.
